I KNOW A PLACE.

I know a place

where the sun don't expire

and it don't cost a penny to shine

where fish grow like goats

and goats grow like trees

and every plate is yours to eat from.

I know a place

where the winds scrape pits

on spitting hot days

and that good neighbour

from here and here and there

lends a hat when it rains.

I know a place

where welfare isn't a piss pot

and wellbeing isn't a pot of piss

and the ministries greedy gut

is small enough to fit in a tin can

where rainbows cut our teeth

and our teeth gleam without grief

and when man needs

man has.

I know, I know a place.
